Chapter Six

Mason ran his hand over Presley’s side, her smooth skin warm under his palm. They were in bed lying on their sides, her back to him. From the way her body moved as she breathed, he knew she was still asleep.

Mason had been waking up next to Presley for four weeks yet he still couldn’t get used to it. She just…fit so well, and yet he knew if he commented about that¸ he might lose her forever.

They’d been careful not to say anything to each other beyond what they normally did. Nothing had changed between them, yet everything had changed. They still ate together, played together, laughed together, and now they slept together. He had things at her place, and she had things at his. It made things easier the next morning for work. If either of them thought too hard about it, they would have realized they were in far deeper than they’d planned. At least that’s what he thought she thought. Damn, he was going crazy.

Did he want more with Presley? Fuck. Yeah, he did. That scared the crap out of him because he’d been the one to point out that they could be casual in the first place. Only, they couldn’t be casual and carefree, not in the slightest. Now he was in bed with the woman he loved as his best friend and knew if this went too much further he’d love her in every way possible.

Damn it. That wasn’t what the plan was. Presley seemed way too content not being in a true relationship with him, and he was afraid if he brought anything up, he’d ruin it all. She’d run scared, and he’d be left alone like an idiot.

His plan? Keep things as they were until she noticed he was in every facet of her life and wasn’t planning on leaving.

Simple. Effective. And just a bit devious.

Perfect for him.

Presley moaned in her sleep, and his hand drifted over her side and up her belly to cup her breast. She gasped slightly, and he rolled her nipple between his fingers. She arched her back, pressing her breast into his palm.

Good, she liked that. He looked over her body and smiled since her eyes were closed. He wasn’t sure if she was awake or still in the remnants of sleep, so he’d go slow and see if he could wake her in the most delicious way possible. He squeezed her breast softly then moved to the other one, plucking and rolling her nipple before cupping her fully.

She moaned, her eyes still closed.

Awake or asleep? Well, there was only one way he wanted to check that.

He slowly moved away, gently pushing her onto her back. Her head rolled to the side as he moved her, and he held back a laugh. Presley was a deep sleeper, and from the way her breathing stayed even unless he touched her, he figured she had to be sleeping still.

Well, not for long.

He moved lower until his face was right against her cunt and gently put her right leg over his shoulder.
